21 June 2016

Press Release

WeDo Technologies
has concluded its 11th annual Worldwide User Group and Summit, attracting over 450 attendees including a large community of  Revenue Assurance (RA) and Fraud Management (FM) managers from a wide range of industries, including telecoms, healthcare, retail and utilities, representing more than forty-five countries around the world.

The three-day event was chaired by award-winning journalist and business presenter Nadine Dereza. It featured more than forty prominent international speakers whose sessions enabled attendees to gain valuable insights into the best practices for RA and FM, and learn the business benefits of industry topics such as IoT, big data and advanced analytics.

Delegates heard keynotes from leading futurist Patrick Dixon, who presented a session on “The Future of (Almost) Everything”, which provided insight on how to create opportunity through risk and discussed why businesses must have a risk plan. The event also featured presentations from RA and FM experts and industry leaders, such as WeDo Technologies' Market Strategy Advisor Tony Poulos, commenting on the urgent need for operators to share information and experience to mitigate risks, and highlighting the vital role RA teams play in protecting operators’ revenues.

Discussing the event, WeDo Technologies’ CEO Rui Paiva commented: “Digital transformation is undoubtedly changing the world we live in, bringing with it a whole new set of challenges, especially when considered against the backdrop of protecting customers, assets and revenues. With new strategies and business models needed to ensure a positive impact on the bottom line, it has never been more important for us to continue to learn from our vast community of users to re-define the future of fraud management. The 2016 Worldwide User Group and Summit was a huge success, providing a unique opportunity to share experiences and valuable insight amongst industry peers in order to address these urgent challenges. We hope to build on our successes for next year, and are already looking forward to 2017’s User Group and Summit.”
